Job description

NeuroSupport Services is currently recruiting Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants with experience in Brain Injury and Mental Health to support service users with acquired Brain Injuries. Our goal is to support rehabilitation and enable individuals to optimize independence and quality of life.

We are seeking psychology graduates, Support Workers, Healthcare Assistants, or suitable candidates willing to support individuals both in their homes and in accessing the community. Candidates should be confident working independently and providing empirical feedback as needed.

THIS IS A UK-BASED POSITION

To be considered for this role, it is mandatory that:

  1. You have UK work experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role.
  2. Your CV clearly shows relevant experience related to this position.
  3. You have experience in Brain Injury support.
  4. You possess a full, clean UK driver's license and have access to a car for work purposes.

Job Details:

  • Title: Female Support Worker/Admin Assistant
  • Location: Locks Heath, Southampton, SO31
  • Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £14 depending on experience
  • Driver Essential: Yes
  • Gender Preference: Female applicants only
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Days & Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1 hour each, late morning

About You - Essential Experience:

Experience in support and/or administrative assistance working with individuals with ABI (Brain Injury). Must be able to drive and have access to a personal vehicle.

About Our Client:

Our client is a 50-year-old female with an acquired brain injury from a concussion. The main activity involves social interaction for a short period weekly. She also requires support with administrative tasks on her computer and needs to be driven short distances. The specified times are flexible.

Successful Candidates Will:

  • Receive full training, including Brain Injury Awareness Training
  • Have CPD opportunities
  • Be subject to a Full Enhanced DBS check
  • Earn a competitive hourly rate
  • Gain experience working with a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
