An established industry player is seeking a passionate individual to join their Early Years team at a reputable Primary School. This role involves supporting young learners in Reception, fostering their enthusiasm for education through play and structured activities. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and maturity to the classroom, assisting with guided reading and phonics sessions. The Role:
The Headteacher and governing body of a reputable Primary School on the outskirts of Preston and Garstang are looking for a practitioner to join their fantastic EYFS team to provide support to pupils in Reception. The working hours for this role are 8:45-15:15 working Monday-Friday term time only with 30 minutes for lunch.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and confident and will be able to support and inspire young children to foster their enthusiasm for learning particularly within their Early Years. The ideal candidate will also have the skills and maturity required to take on the teaching assistant’s duties and responsibilities such as guided reading and delivering phonics sessions to small groups of pupils. A minimum of Level 2 childcare related qualification is essential for this role, candidates qualified at graduate level are also welcomed to apply for the role and possible candidates looking for further school-based experience to further their career.

This is a lovely one form entry Primary School serving a pleasant catchment area on the outskirts of Preston. Children join the school excited to learn and pupils behaviour is exemplary. Children in Early Years are encouraged to learn through play and the EYFS unit is led by an experienced Reception Class Teacher. Parents are supportive of the schools ethos and the Headteacher is well known and respected within the local community and this school has been over-subscribed for a number of years.
