Job Description:

Do you have experience working in early years (EYFS) and a genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs? Axcis Education is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the Stockport area. You will work 1:1 with a pupil in early years, possibly with ADHD (not officially diagnosed yet), providing tailored support and guidance. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, starting September 2024.

• Provide one-on-one support to a pupil with potential ADHD and challenging behavior
• Assist the student in engaging and focusing during lessons
• Create and implement individualized educational plans
• Collaborate with teachers and parents for consistent support
• Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment for social and emotional development
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teaching team

Requirements:

• Experience with early years (EYFS) in a school setting, preferably with SEN
• Understanding of ADHD and related challenges
• Patience, empathy, and adaptable teaching strategies
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and parents
