Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in early years education.

Job description

Are you passionate about early years education and making a real difference in young children's lives? We are currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in the Chorley area, with the role beginning in September.

As an EYFS TA, your responsibilities include implementing literacy and numeracy programs, providing feedback to the teacher on student progress, promoting positive behaviour and participation, and assisting with the development of Individual Education/Behavior Plans and Personal Care programs.

If you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or are actively working towards one, and have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework, we invite you to apply. Responsibilities
  1. Preparation of resources and activities for the whole class, small group, and 1:1 support.
  2. Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
  3. Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities.
  4. Liaise with other professionals such as teachers, TAs, and specialist support staff.
  5. Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
  6. Work with classes, small groups, and children on a one-to-one basis.
  7. Monitor and track the development of pupils and support their personal development and confidence.
Essential requirements
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Confidence and ability to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with and build rapport with young people.
  • Creativity, proactivity, and flexibility in supporting styles.
  • Experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties.
  • TA qualification.
