About the Role: We are working closely with a range of welcoming primary schools across Stockport who are looking for skilled Early Years practitioners to support pupils in Nursery and Reception classes. Roles may involve general classroom support as well as focused 1:1 or small group interventions, helping young learners with social skills, speech and language development, phonics, and early number work. Positions available vary from day-to-day supply to long-term and permanent roles, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career ambitions. Responsibilities Include: - Supporting the class teacher to deliver a nurturing and stimulating environment. - Providing tailored support to pupils, including those with additional needs such as Autism (ASD), Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. - Assisting with planning and delivering creative activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. - Helping with assessments and recording pupil progress. - Promoting positive behaviour and helping children develop essential skills for learning and life.
