Job Description:

Axcis is working with a primary school in Manchester to recruit a teaching assistant experienced in supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly children aged 3 to 5 years. The role involves supporting a 4-year-old child with Complex Autism, including managing challenging behaviour and personal care, both in the classroom and during outdoor activities in areas like the sensory room and playground. This full-time position runs until July 2024, with potential to return in September. The role offers a chance to make a positive impact on a child's development and learning.

• Supporting a child with complex Autism on a 1:1 basis
• Supporting needs such as challenging behaviour and personal care
• Collaborating with the class teacher and other assistants
• Full-time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)
• Start ASAP, through to July 2024, with September return

Requirements:

• Experience supporting individuals with SEND needs, including challenging behaviour and personal care – Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – Essential
• Minimum of 2 good references – Essential
