Job summary

Bright Horizons Wish Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Hove is seeking an Early Years Teacher to plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that help children develop and meet their individual needs.

You will hold QTS, EYTS, EYPS, or a full Level 6 Early Years qualification, have strong EYFS knowledge and safeguarding, and work closely with parents and colleagues to support every child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Hold either QTS, EYTS, EYPS, or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Sound understanding of the EYFS.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and care to meet individual needs.
• Make accurate assessments reflecting needs of each child.
• Ensure indoor and outdoor environments are stimulating and inspiring.

Salary – Starting from £30,155 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all the children to develop and meet their individual needs. You will make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, and ensure the indoor and outdoor environments are consistently stimulating and inspiring for the children.

What We’re Looking For

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS), or a full and relevant Level 6 Early Years Qualification
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents
