Job description

Job Title: Early Years Practitioner – Teatime / After School Provision

>Salary: £26,824 - £29,540 pro rata FTE (actual salary: £8316 - £9158)

Part time. 13.75 hours per week, term time only. Monday – Friday ‘teatime’ sessions: 3:15pm – 6:00pm

Do you have a passion for supporting young children and creating a safe, happy environment for them to thrive?We’re looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team and help make our teatime and after‑school provision a fantastic experience for children aged 2–5 years.

What you’ll do:
  • Provide high-quality care and learning opportunities in a nurturing setting.
  • Help children settle into routines and feel confident and secure.
  • Plan, prepare, and adapt engaging activities that support early development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence in a caring, consistent way.
  • Interact warmly with children, inspiring them to join in and enjoy every activity.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure our teatime provision runs smoothly.

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
  • Creativity, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to excellent childcare.
