Job summary

Government of The United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Early Years practitioner for a fixed-term maternity cover in the Reception team. The role focuses on EYFS curriculum, nurturing relationships, and high-quality play-based learning both indoors and outdoors.

The ideal candidate will have approved EYFS qualifications, experience with SEMH/SEN behaviours, and be capable of delivering Little Wandle phonics and language development activities, collaborating closely with the class teacher.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Hold an approved Early Years qualification as defined by the Department for Education.
• Ability to support play indoors and outdoors and promote language development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver high-quality teaching and learning and play experiences.
• Support young children to manage emotions and develop behaviour for learning.
• Provide high-quality support for phonics and language development using the Little Wandle approach.
