Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the WS3 area for an experienced EYFS Teacher to join their team from November on a full-time maternity cover basis. The role involves delivering high-quality EYFS teaching, creating a nurturing classroom, and supporting early learning across the year.

Key requirements include QTS and recent EYFS experience, plus a passion for helping children develop socially, emotionally and academically.

Qualifications

• QTS and substantial EYFS teaching experience are essential.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Proven ability to create engaging, child-centred learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality EYFS lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for young learners.
• Support children's development through play-based activities and targeted assessment.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet needs.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents; collaborate with the school team.

Smile Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the WS3 area for an experienced EYFS Teacher to join their team from November on a full-time maternity cover basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Early Years practitioner who is committed to creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children during the crucial early stages of their education.

Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years curriculum
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence, and curiosity
• Working collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has recent and substantial experience teaching within EYFS
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
• Creates engaging and inspiring learning opportunities
• Is nurturing, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting every child
• Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Works effectively as part of a team
