Job summary

Bright Horizons Farnham Westchester House Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment for children, staff and families in Farnham.

You will ensure high standards of hygiene in bathrooms and changing areas, perform daily laundry, and support meal times and general nursery tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in domestic or commercial properties.
• Food Safety L2 or above is required from day 1.
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.
• Strong communication with colleagues, children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in nursery areas.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Support mealtimes and assist with general nursery tasks.
• Clean equipment as needed.

Salary – Starting from £26,662 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
