Job summary

Randstad Education currently seeks Qualified Early Years Educators for day-to-day supply roles across local nurseries in the area. You can choose full-time 8:00 AM–6:00 PM shifts or a lighter schedule, with complete control over your availability.

Qualified candidates (Level 2 or 3 in Childcare) will support EYFS activities, maintain safeguarding standards, and adapt to varied settings. DBS Update Service or willingness to apply is required.

Qualifications

• NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• DBS check on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Flexible Classroom Support: Step into different early years settings and support the nursery team.
• Engage children with play-based activities per EYFS.
• Assist with meals, outdoor play, hygiene, and safety routines.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations at each nursery.
• Build rapport with staff, children, and parents.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Supply Nursery Practitioner, no two days are the same! Your tasks will include:

• Flexible Classroom Support: Stepping into different early years settings and seamlessly supporting the permanent nursery team.
• Engaging Children: Leading fun, play-based educational activities based on the EYFS framework.
• High Standards of Care: Assisting with meal times, outdoor play, hygiene routines, and keeping children safe and engaged.
• Safeguarding: Maintaining strict adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations at every nursery you visit.
• Positive Energy: Building instant rapport with nursery staff, children, and parents.
