Job summary

Randstad Education in Ely is seeking qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join our supply team, working across high-quality nursery settings in the local area. You can choose 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM shifts or a couple of days per week to fit your lifestyle, putting you in control of your schedule.

Day-to-day you will support permanent teams, lead play-based activities under the EYFS framework, help with meals and outdoor play, and uphold safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or EYFS qualification.
• Knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Willingness to obtain DBS Update Service or have one already.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible classroom support across different nurseries and settings.
• Lead play-based educational activities aligned with EYFS.
• Assist with meals, outdoor play, hygiene routines, and child safety.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and safety guidelines at all times.
• Build rapport with staff, children and parents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified: NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.

• Adaptability: Confidence in stepping into new environments and hit the ground running.
• DBS: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
