Job summary

Randstad Education in the UK is seeking Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioners to support leading local early years settings on a flexible, day-to-day supply basis. You can choose from full-day shifts or just a couple of days to fit your lifestyle.

You will work across nurseries, delivering play-based learning under the EYFS framework, supporting the permanent team, and upholding safeguarding and health and safety standards at every site.

Qualifications

• NVQ/CACHE/NCFE Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new nursery environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible classroom support across various early years settings.
• Lead play-based educational activities aligned with EYFS.
• Assist with meals, outdoor play, hygiene, and child safety.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Supply Nursery Practitioner, no two days are the same! Your tasks will include:

• Flexible Classroom Support: Stepping into different early years settings and seamlessly supporting the permanent nursery team.
• Engaging Children: Leading fun, play-based educational activities based on the EYFS framework.
• High Standards of Care: Assisting with meal times, outdoor play, hygiene routines, and keeping children safe and engaged.
• Safeguarding: Maintaining strict adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations at every nursery you visit.
• Positive Energy: Building instant rapport with nursery staff, children, and parents.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualified: NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
