Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Practitioners for flexible supply work across local early years settings. You control your schedule, whether you want full 8:00 AM–6:00 PM shifts five days a week or just a couple of days.

In this role you support nursery teams, lead play-based activities under the EYFS framework, maintain high standards of care, and uphold safeguarding and health and safety at every placement.

Qualifications

• Qualified: NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years.
• Knowledge of EYFS framework and UK safeguarding procedures.
• Adaptability to new environments and quick learner.
• DBS check: Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Flexible Classroom Support across different early years settings.

Whether you want full 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM shifts five days a week, or just a couple of days to fit around your lifestyle, supply work puts you in complete control of your schedule.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Supply Nursery Practitioner, no two days are the same! Your tasks will include:

• Flexible Classroom Support: Stepping into different early years settings and seamlessly supporting the permanent nursery team.
• Engaging Children: Leading fun, play-based educational activities based on the EYFS framework.
• High Standards of Care: Assisting with meal times, outdoor play, hygiene routines, and keeping children safe and engaged.
• Safeguarding: Maintaining strict adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations at every nursery you visit.
• Positive Energy: Building instant rapport with nursery staff, children, and parents.

Requirements & Qualifications
