Job summary

Thrive Education is seeking passionate Early Years Assistants to support nurseries, preschools and Early Years settings across Cheltenham and the surrounding area.

Previous experience with children is valued, but not strictly required. You can work 1–2 days a week or full-time, with flexible Monday–Friday opportunities. Safeguarding checks will be discussed during registration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in nurseries, preschools, schools, or related environments.
• Willingness to complete safeguarding and compliance checks.
• DBS checks desirable but not essential to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children through play and activities.

Early Years Assistant – CheltenhamCheltenhamFlexible Monday–Friday Work | Competitive PayLove working with children but don't have a formal childcare qualification?You don't necessarily need one.Thrive Education is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Assistants to support nurseries, preschools and Early Years settings across Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.We're interested in people who have previous experience working with children and want to build on that experience within Early Years.Your experience could come from a nursery or preschool, but we'd also love to hear from people with backgrounds in schools, SEN support, children's clubs, after-school clubs, holiday clubs, sports coaching or other childcare environments.Whether you're looking for 1–2 days a week, regular full-time work or something longer‑term, we'll work around your availability.

What we're looking for

• You don't need to hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.We're looking for people who:Have previous experience working with or supporting childrenGenuinely enjoy working with young childrenAre caring, patient and enthusiasticAre reliable and adaptableAre comfortable joining different teams and settingsAre willing to complete the necessary safeguarding and compliance checksAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but we can discuss this with you during registration.
