Job summary

Thrive Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Early Years Assistants to support nurseries, preschools and Early Years settings across Stroud and the surrounding areas. We welcome applicants with previous experience working with children, even if you don't hold formal childcare qualifications, and we’ll work around your availability.

This role offers flexible Monday–Friday work, the chance to gain varied experience across different settings, and ongoing support from your dedicated Thrive

Qualifications

• No Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification required.
• Previous experience with or supporting children is welcome.
• Genuine enjoyment of working with young children.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic disposition.
• Reliable and adaptable to different settings.
• Willing to complete safeguarding and compliance checks.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service is desirable and can be discussed at registration.

Responsibilities

• Support children through play and activities.
• Help create a safe, positive and nurturing environment.
• Support children's social and emotional development.
• Assist with daily nursery routines.
• Work alongside qualified Early Years Practitioners.
• Build positive relationships with children and staff.
• Provide additional support wherever the setting needs you.
