Job summary

The Bedford College Group is hiring an Early Years Assessor at the Kettering Campus. The role sits in Health, Social Care & Childcare and involves coordinating industry placements, supporting learners, and ensuring quality standards across placements.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating industry placements and employer engagement.
• Ability to monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and quality assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Source and coordinate high-quality industry placements for Health, Care and Early Years students, building relationships with employers and advisory boards.
• Support learners during placements, conduct observations and assessments, provide feedback, monitor attendance and progress.
• Ensure placement activity meets college policies and awarding body standards, maintaining records and documentation.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams, careers services, business development colleagues and internal verifiers to deliver placement programmes.
• Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, and participate in department and college initiatives.
