Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking an Early Years Assessor to join the Health, Social Care & Childcare department at our Kettering campus. You will source placements, assess learners, and ensure quality and compliance across placements.

You will build strong relationships with employers, support progress, and travel between locations as needed. This role offers development opportunities and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 4 Early Years qualification, TAQA Assessor award, and GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experienced in training, assessing and supporting learners.
• Builds effective relationships with employers, community stakeholders and colleagues.
• Able to travel between locations and work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Source and coordinate high-quality industry placements for Health, Care and Early Years students.
• Observe and assess learners, provide feedback and monitor progress.
• Ensure placement activity meets college policies, awarding body standards and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with curriculum teams, careers services and employers to deliver placement programmes.
