Job summary

The Bedford College Group invites applications for an Early Years Assessor based at the Kettering Campus. You will source industry placements, assess learners on placements, and monitor progress to help students meet awarding body requirements.

You will drive safeguarding, inclusion and partnership work while maintaining high professional standards and accurate records across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Level 4 Early Years qualification, TAQA Assessor award, and GCSE Maths and English.
Experience in training, assessing and supporting learners.
Able to travel between locations and work with employers.
Strong organisation and accurate record keeping using IT systems.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Source and coordinate high-quality industry placements for Health, Care and Early Years students, building strong relationships with employers and advisory boards.
Support learners throughout placements, conduct observations and assessments, provide feedback and monitor progress.
Ensure placement activity meets college policies and awarding body standards, with accurate documentation.
Collaborate with curriculum teams, careers services, business development and employers to deliver placement programmes.
Promote safeguarding and inclusion and contribute to department and college wide initiatives.
