Job summary

Trafford College in Altrincham is seeking a Work placement officer & Assessor in Early Years Education to assess learners in the workplace and coordinate placements with employers. The role involves risk assessments, DBS checks, and QA processes to ensure learners meet qualification requirements.

The position requires L3 Childcare or Early Years and Assessor qualifications, a driving licence and car for visits, and offers a comprehensive benefits package and 36.25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum L3 Childcare or Early Years qualification and Assessor qualification.
• GCSE 4+/FS L2 in maths and English.
• Experience of supporting learners to find work placements and DBS checks is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess learners in the workplace to support completion of their main qualification, including marking.
• Support learners to source placements and liaise with employers.
• Complete: risk assessments, health & safety paperwork and online systems.
• Ensure employers are suitable for our learners' placements.
• Support learners to complete DBS check.
• Support and prepare learners to successfully complete their placements.
• To take part in the quality assurance, internal quality assurance process.
• To assess the learners on placement and work with the awarding body including moderation.
