Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a part-time Work Placement Co-ordinator to oversee the 16-19 Early Years placements. You will liaise with employers to create opportunities and support quality assurance across term-time (38 weeks) with 29.6 hours per week at the Blackburn campus.

You will monitor learners on placements, assess T level competencies and early years licenses, and manage visits with admin duties. Requires Level 3+ Early Years, Level 2 literacy/numeracy, and an A1/TAQA or willingness to

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3+ Early Years qualification and Level 2 literacy/numeracy.
• A1/TAQA Assessor qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
• Health and Safety qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
• Strong experience in early years education or child development.
• Ability to organise and implement timetables of visits and admin duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor work placements across the 16-19 study programme within the Early Years curriculum.

£25,929 to £30,842 gross per annum pro rata

Term Time - PT - 29.6hrs per week

The Role

You will be required to coordinate and monitor work placements across the 16-19 study programme within the Early Years curriculum. You will liaise with employers to find and develop work placement opportunities and support the quality assurance processes. You will monitor and assess learners on work placement, assessing competencies on T levels and other Early Years license to practice qualifications. This is a term time only role (38 weeks per year and 29.6 hours per week).

What are we looking for

You must have a Level 3 or above Early Years Qualification and a minimum of level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy. You should also have a A1/TAQA Assessor Qualification or equivalent or be willing to achieve within one year. In addition, you will have relevant Health and Safety Qualification or be willing to achieve within 1 year. You have strong experience in early years education or child development and align with the national standards. You must have the ability to organise and implement a timetable of visits and administrative duties and be adept at using Microsoft Office/Outlook. You should also have access to a vehicle and ability/willingness to drive to appointments anywhere in Lancashire.
