Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood Projects Team are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a 3-month contract based in our Reading office. We operate on a hybrid basis, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Due to the short-term nature of this role, we are looking for someone with extensive HR experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves providing guidance and coaching for effective people management, and developing and implementing solutions to support leaders throughout the employee life-cycle. This includes working with Centres of Expertise to deliver employee engagement tools, talent management, workforce planning and resourcing, organisational effectiveness, change management, and risk mitigation through employee relations. The role also involves developing effective leadership and fostering the appropriate development of people and skills within the area of responsibility. Additionally, the role acts as counsel on people-related issues, forming strong stakeholder relationships with customers, with significant influence required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job-specific experience:

  1. Experience in business-focused HR roles within a dynamic organisation
  2. Experience managing change, including working cooperatively in a business partnership
  3. Knowledge of people practices and applicable legislative frameworks
  4. Experience dealing with industrial and employee relations issues

Knowledge of:

  1. Business performance and how it can deliver and add value to its customers
  2. Business service offerings and customer base
  3. Roles performed in groups/departments served
  4. Awareness of external factors

Qualifications:

  1. CIPD qualified
