Job description

We are looking for an ambitious, inspiring leader to take our Reactive Waste Networks team fromGREAT TO OUTSTANDING.If you are passionate about the environment and enjoy being outdoors, this role is for you!

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

The core of your role is that you will lead a team of Operatives in our Derbyshire region who use a variety of vehicles, kit and jetting equipment to respond reactively to sewerage related issues, including pollutions, flooding, blockage clearance, pipe cleansing and surveying of our network.

  • Inspirational Leadership:Lead and manage a team of highly engaged operational front-line people and their supervisors, inspiring them to achieve high standards and be a little bit better every single day.
  • Customer Focus:Love customers. Put them first, be confident to go to site to see the customers first hand, be skilled at diffusing conflict, and build relationships across Severn Trent to address customer issues.
  • Passion for the Environment:A strong commitment to environmental protection, with the belief that one pollution is too many. Be calm under pressure to respond to operational incidents when they occur.
  • Curiosity:Always be curious and hungry to drive improvements in people, processes, and quality. Bring a practical, want to learn / do more mindset.
  • Adaptability:Be willing to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges with a practical, can-do attitude.
  • Operational Experience/ Excellence:Experience of an operational environment with a bucket load of common sense. You’ll be driving our field response to customer and operational issues.
