Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development in a challenging project environment.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service delivery teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
  • Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins impacting customers.
  • Maintain documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Adhere to processes regarding task allocation, completion, and reporting, updating all relevant parties.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create and review technical documentation and statements of work.
  • Participate in pre-staging of equipment and customer meetings.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submission and compliance with GDPR and security policies.
Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your skill development in these areas. Essential qualities include a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in a support environment, with on-premise Cloud Services experience being advantageous.

  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Networking Concepts knowledge
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and above
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
  • Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving passion and ability to work independently or within a team
