Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development as a Cloud Engineer through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and bridging the engineering team with Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:
  • Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
  • Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal and external processes for tasks, reporting, and change management.
  • Support Proof of Concept scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation like TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
  • Review engineering documentation peer-wise.
  • Lead or assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Attend customer meetings such as support reviews and incident reviews.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Link certifications to business objectives and ensure timely submission of expenses.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies for data handling.
Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience working in a support environment, with on-premise Cloud Services experience being beneficial.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
  • Networking Concepts knowledge
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above, especially clustering and availability groups
  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or above
  • VMware vCloud Director knowledge
