Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development in challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Support Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report as necessary.
  • Identify trends and security threats affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal processes for tasks, reporting, and changes, updating relevant documentation.
  • Assist with PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create and review technical documentation and Statements of Work.
  • Lead in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Maintain certifications aligned with role and objectives.
  • Complete overtime and expenses accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding data and information handling.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. Experience in a support environment and on-premise Cloud Services is preferred. Skills in networking, SQL Server, VMware, and Azure MFA are desirable. You should have a strong work ethic, be proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
