Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting pre-screening tests and assisting with sales in our optical department. This role requires excellent customer service skills, technical proficiency, and a passion for helping patients achieve optimal vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-screening tests such as visual acuity, refraction, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist optometrists with patient assessments and examinations.
  • Provide patients with information about their eye health and vision correction options.
  • Help patients select appropriate eyewear, including frames and lenses, based on their needs and preferences.
  • Process sales transactions and manage inventory of optical products.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in optical technology and products.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in optical technology .
  • Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using optical equipment and software or a strong willingness to learn.
