Job description

We’re currently recruiting for this UK based Venture Capital investor in global sustainable infrastructure and technology. This particular role will suit a qualified accountant with 5-7 years PQE who is looking to step into an FC role, with some leadership.

You'll have extensive Management Accounts experience, ideally at a group level. There is a consolidation process, so some experience here would be beneficial. Audit experience is also advantageous, as this person will manage relationships with auditors and take responsibility for all Quarter-End and Year-End processes under the guidance of the FD and CFO.

The role:

This role primarily involves managing a small finance team and producing all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports and consolidations for the group. You will support the production of Statutory Accounts and provide MI for the board.

Key Duties:

• Manage all management accounting for the group
• Oversee a simple consolidation of several UK and overseas entities
• Prepare annual audits and serve as the main contact with auditors
• Develop the reporting framework, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Assist with Statutory Accounts and external reporting
• Lead the monthly consolidation process
• Ensure consistency in accounting policy implementation
• Implement IFRS projects and other accounting changes
• Present basic accounting policies or issues to senior management
• Provide accounting advice to senior managers across the group
• Manage and review team performance, including annual reviews, training, and development

About You:

• Fully Qualified with 5-7 years PQE experience
• Practice trained / qualified (ACA/ACCA/CA/CPA)
• Open to candidates from all industries; banking experience is not essential
• A proactive individual who can both execute and manage
• Experience in statutory reporting and controls, ideally within banking
• Enthusiastic about improving processes and a supportive team member
• Ability to communicate effectively at Board level
