Job Title: Functional Lead – (Insurance Industry)
Location: London
Type of role: Permanent
Your Role:
- Effective start-up, execution and close-down of projects and programs
- Work with client or senior management to establish and clarify the aims, objectives and requirements of the project or programme
- Communicate regularly with the business analyst to interpret, clarify and plan for the implementation of user stories for Guidewire
- Monitor, progress including project/programme budget, timescale and quality
- Analyze business requirements, identify opportunities through gap analysis and support design workshops.
- Involved in reviewing the functionality implemented with the Use Case, UI Spec and the Standard Documents and with extensive knowledge in Guidewire product
- Plan, organize and control product module development for the new system, business processes and support Change Management activities
- Establishment of effective project / programme governance and Manage scope, change Management activities supporting Stakeholders
- Effective communication with project teammates, stakeholders (Capgemini on-shore and off-shore, plus client and 3rd party as necessary) using timely and accurate information through effective written and oral communication or formal presentations.
- Identifying and recommending best practices and continuous improvement ideas related to the product configuration. Issue and Risk assessment.
- Managing and performing minor/major enhancements and propose solutions and estimate effort, Establish and execute traceability for user stories and delivery artifacts
- Providing proactive resolution of issues and mitigation / containment of risks and associated impacts
- Managing and maximizing client stakeholder relationships
- Managing supplier relationships (3rd party and Capgemini internal): selection, contractual and management of delivery
- Management of quality assurance and quality control aspects related to the programme/project
- Building a high-performing, motivated delivery team
Your Profile:
- Functional/domain background and experience in Insurance, Personal and/or Commercial Insurance with focus on Motor, Property and Casualty
- Experience in the Information Technology industry with consulting experience, preferably client facing
- Ability to liaise with senior client personnel to establish requirements and discuss potential development strategies
- Able to respectfully challenge customers to think about different options
- Ability to provide recommendations and discuss pros and cons. Support stakeholders in decision making
- Stakeholder management (ongoing, active engagement with all stakeholders)
- Wide experience in performing analysis, Business Process Modelling / Automation, Agility Requirements, Data Analysis, System Integration / Enrichment and Business / Market Analysis, Technical Requirements, Pricing / Rating Specifications and Tables, Cost-Benefit Analysis and Business Resilience Framework.
- Multi-party integration (this can have various dimensions - multiple workstream management, multiple vendor management, multiple client business groups' involvement etc.)
- Project portfolio management (emphasis on experience in helping the client make decisions around "doing the right things" as opposed to reactive reporting-based portfolio management)
- Budget management (experience managing various engagement models, e.g. fixed price, fixed capacity, T&M etc - particularly fixed price management)
- Resource management (strategic view covering projecting/forecasting resource needs as well as tactical day to day resource fulfilment-based view)
- Change management (ability to guide organizations through complex and multi-dimensional change)
- Experience on responding to Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), Presenting Orals, drafting Statement of Work (SOW), Proof of Concepts (POC), Point of View (POV), White papers and creating various Accelerators and Framework to optimize efforts.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
- Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
- Preferable to have, certified in any of the following – Guidewire or/and Business Analysis (IIBA, BCS or ISEB) or/and Insurance (AINS, ARM, AIC, AU, ARe).
