Job description

As a Business Development Manager, you will support and facilitate the development of new business, manage, maintain, and maximise existing business, and increase brand presence and awareness. The role involves calling customers over the phone and face-to-face meetings when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a portfolio of accounts for new and existing customers from sales to delivery.
  2. Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  3. Identify and understand the needs of the customers.
  4. Recommend appropriate products and services.
  5. Build and maintain new and existing accounts.
  6. Produce quotes and proposals for clients.
  7. Work closely with external Key Account Managers.
  8. Ensure all daily orders are processed and dispatched.
  9. Achieve KPIs focused on call statistics, sales figures, and product lines.
  10. Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  11. Confidently communicate with customers, handle incoming calls, and make outgoing calls.
Your Skills and Experience:
  1. Previous experience in sales account management, ideally within the lighting industry.
  2. Ability to establish strong relationships with new clients using your initiative.
  3. Ability to work to multiple deadlines and timeframes.
  4. Experience in sales via telephone.
  5. Understanding of customer needs and delivering excellent customer service.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Full driving license is essential.
Hours

Monday to Friday, 08:45 am - 05:30 pm

Salary

£28-32K depending on experience, with a realistic first-year OTE of £42K+ (uncapped).
