Job Description:

The Logistics Coordinator role is responsible for assisting the Team Logistics Manager in overseeing and coordinating all logistical aspects of the race team’s operations. This includes supporting the transportation of equipment, vehicles, and personnel to various race locations worldwide, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:

· Logistics Planning Support: Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive logistics plans for transporting race cars and equipment to all race venues. Help create detailed schedules for sea freight, Air Freight and Road Freight and optimize routes to reduce transit times and costs.

· Coordination: Coordinate with various departments (manufacturing, race teams and marketing) to ensure all logistical needs are met. Utilise logistics software and tools to streamline coordination efforts.

· Transportation Management: Support the management of transportation for all team assets, including arranging flights, shipping containers, and ground transportation. Address specific transportation challenges unique to the race team.

· Customs and Regulations: Assist in ensuring compliance with international customs regulations and securing necessary permits and documentation for the transport of equipment. Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

· Budget Management: Help monitor and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and efficiency. Implement cost-saving measures and budget management strategies.

· Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met. Evaluate vendor performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).

· Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans and manage any logistical issues that arise during the race season.

· Team Support: Assist in leading and managing a team of logistics staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

· Reporting: Prepare and present logistics reports to the Team Logistics Manager and other stakeholders. Define clear performance metrics or KPIs to evaluate success.

Requirements

Education & Work Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics support, ideally within a competitive motorsport environment, preferably Formula 1.

· Strong organizational and planning skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

· Proficiency in logistics software and tools.

· Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations.

· Attention to detail.

· Problem-solving mindset.

· Flexibility and adaptability.

· Team player with supportive capabilities.

Work Environment Physical Demands

· Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.

· Occasional domestic & international travel.

· Willingness to work long and flexible hours, including weekends.

· Physical demands include lifting heavy objects, repeated bending, squatting, and manual dexterity.

· Fast paced and mentally demanding work environment involving machinery, race cars, and hazardous fluids
