Join our Business Aviation Training Centres in Burgess Hill (West Sussex) or Vienna, Austria as Regional Human Resources Manager where you will contribute to shaping a positive employee culture, developing and implementing the regional HR strategy aligned with business goals, and building and maintaining a strong local and regional employer brand.

The role we are offering you:

This role will provide HR leadership and strategic partnership to the Vice President EMEAA, Business Aviation, and Helicopter Aviation Training and their teams. It will also align with the regional HR teams and leverage the global HR network to drive the regional strategy and support the global HR organization. You will report directly to the Global Director of Human Resources for Business Aviation, Helicopter Aviation, and Maintenance Training.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to a team of HR professionals to ensure effective HR service delivery across the region.
  • Create trust, maintain confidentiality, and influence leaders and colleagues to accept recommendations and programs, even where interest may be limited.
  • Develop and deploy the HR strategy for the region, aligning with the global HR mandate to drive business results through people.
  • Assess current talent, anticipate future needs, and develop organizational design, performance management, and sourcing strategies.
  • Review HR processes and policies for compliance with legislation, business needs, and efficiency, exploring opportunities for shared services across training centers.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager supporting multi-site locations in a matrix environment, with 10+ years of HR experience and at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practices in the UK and Austria; experience in Asia is a plus.
  • Ability to partner with and influence senior leaders and executives.
  • Passion for results and positive impact, with data-driven decision-making skills.
  • University Degree in Human Resources or Management; MBA and/or CIPD accreditation is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience handling complex situations requiring ingenuity and decisiveness.

What kind of person will succeed in this team?

We are seeking someone with Change Leadership experience, a proactive “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude, high energy, and a positive “can-do” mindset. You should think beyond immediate problems to broader implications, be accountable, and see the wider business impact of your decisions. Creativity and innovation in solving complex problems, and contributing to new concepts and standards, are essential. Your work will influence CAE’s mid- to long-term goals at local, regional, and global levels.

The position offers hybrid working, based at our Training Centres in Burgess Hill or Vienna, with a full-time, permanent contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with travel up to 30%.

We offer a competitive benefits package, depending on location.
