The Role

This is a brilliant opportunity for a senior sales leader to shape the future of a well-established and respected UK nursery business. Based on-site in the West Midlands, you'll take the reins of the sales function, driving commercial growth, inspiring a motivated team, and helping bring high-quality trees and plants to clients across the country.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll define and deliver a forward-thinking sales strategy, keeping your finger on the pulse of seasonal rhythms, customer needs, and market trends. It's a hands-on, people-focused role, ideal for someone who's as comfortable at a trade show as they are walking the nursery.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with seasonal and business objectives
  • Lead and coach a growing sales and customer service team, setting clear goals and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients including garden centres, landscapers, designers, and wholesalers
  • Represent the business at trade events and client site visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns, promotions, and digital presence
  • Monitor performance, forecast trends, and align sales activity with production and operations
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, championing values of quality, sustainability, and expertise
