Medical Imaging AI – Sales Director UK Bristol, United Kingdom

This role is for a leading medical startup that provides innovative AI solutions to radiologists and imaging specialists, aiming to improve the speed and accuracy of medical diagnoses.

The Sales Director will be responsible for establishing and developing the UK market, creating and implementing effective sales strategies. This is a full-time, home-based position anywhere in the UK.

Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience selling to NHS Trusts, CCGs, hospitals, healthcare networks, and radiology services in the UK.
  • Knowledge of radiology, PACS systems, imaging analytics, and relevant clinical fields.
  • Existing network of decision-makers within healthcare providers, payors, and regulators involved in imaging.
  • Ability to present and strategize AI solutions to prospective clients.
  • Familiarity with UK public sector procurement channels (e.g., G-Cloud, CCS Frameworks) and healthcare accreditation schemes (e.g., NICE).
  • Experience with UK public sector business case development (e.g., HM Treasury Five Case Model) is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Excellent consultative, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in setting sales objectives, forecasting, and developing quotas.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and proactive in establishing new regional markets.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to establish the company's presence in the UK.
  • Create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to meet business goals.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from initial presentation to closing contracts.
  • Set and forecast sales objectives, projecting volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, negotiating major contracts.
  • Provide market insights and strategic guidance considering regulations, payment systems, and regional clinical needs.
  • Develop regional market plans targeting market penetration for AI solutions.
  • Manage regional P&L, budget, and goals.
  • Collaborate with product teams for market feedback and support professional services to ensure excellent customer service.
