Job Overview:

As Area Sales Manager you will be responsible to managing all sales and marketing activity across your territory to develop existing relationships and win new business in order to achieve your targets and drive business growth.

  • Managing the overall business strategy for your territory to achieve sales targets and acquire new formularies through effective business planning
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the NHS and private sector
  • Attending industry exhibitions and congresses to develop relationships and raise brand awareness
  • Travelling throughout your territory to meet with Consultants, Surgeons and Clinicians

To be successful:

To excel in this role, you will be a driven and motivated Medical Sales Specialist with a real hunger to develop a territory as though it were your own business through strategic business planning and relationship building. You will have:

  1. 2-3 years’ experience in Key Account Management and strategic sales planning within secondary care medical sales
  2. Experience selling products and demonstrating benefits to drive formulary status
  3. Excellent communication and relationship building experience; collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Professionals
  4. ABPI qualification is essential
  5. Demonstrated sales success with a knack for managing your own territory effectively
  6. Keen to travel and develop sales through face-to-face meetings
