We are recruiting for a Finance Assistant, who has well-rounded experience in most tasks carried out in a finance function, to join our growing business on a permanent basis.

Working within our finance team, in this role you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the sales and purchase ledgers and ensuring the timely completion of all daily work routines. This role covers our Supply Collect and Food Waste divisions managed by the Coatbridge finance team.

Duties of a Finance Assistant

  1. Daily reconciliation of drivers returns.
  2. Provide support to credit controllers and purchase ledger clerk.
  3. Setting up new customers on ERP system.
  4. Setting up new suppliers on ERP system.
  5. Liaise with depots to ensure deadlines and timescales are met.
  6. Assist on ad hoc duties required by Management Accountant.

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience within a similar role (desirable).
  • Work experience within FMCG/Waste Management businesses (desirable).
  • IT Literate, Microsoft Office and Excel Intermediate skills.
  • Methodical approach.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work across different finance functions.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with non-finance departments.
