An established industry player is seeking a Depot Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation of electrical and mechanical systems at distribution centers. Job Title: Depot Maintenance Technician (Electrician)
Location: Site-Based
Reports to: Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 06:00 and 18:00 (rotating shifts)
On-Call Rota: 1 in 4 weeks GBP180 on-call allowance per week + 1.5x hourly rate for callouts and overtime. Use of company van during on-call weeks.
To maintain and repair electrical and mechanical plant and equipment at distribution centres, ensuring effective service delivery in line with health and safety standards and KPI targets.
Key Responsibilities:Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive service calls.
Carry out electrical testing, inspection, minor installations, and general site maintenance.
Communicate issues effectively with colleagues and site management.
Maintain accurate documentation including reports and time sheets.
Order parts, manage tools, and liaise with project teams when required.
Comply with health & safety standards and company policies.
Essential:
Qualified Electrician (City & Guilds/NVQ Electrical Installation or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018)
ECS/CSCS Electrician Card
Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
City & Guilds 2391 (Testing & Inspection)
Knowledge of CAFM systems (e.g., Verisae)
Health & Safety Awareness Certification
Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive
Good communicator and team player
Flexible and able to work under pressure
