Job Description
To maintain and repair a range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in Distribution Centres as defined on the “Scope of Works Task Sheets,” ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness while adhering to the Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Complete the PPM schedule within agreed KPI timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurately completed according to procedures.
- Work flexibly within the cluster as required.
- Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
- Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timescales and response times.
- Order spares following laid-down procedures.
- Identify non-repairable faults and advise the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager with recommendations for replacements.
- Make recommendations for suitable replacements for non-repairable plant and equipment.
- Inform the GM and distribution line managers of repair and maintenance issues affecting depot operations.
- Assist the Site Delivery Manager in managing third-party contractors and ensure proper filing of service inspection paperwork.
- Conduct surveys and complete reports as required.
- Carry out minor alterations, installations, testing, and inspections with full certification.
- Perform general repairs and maintenance at designated Co-op Distribution sites, including building repairs.
- Assist City colleagues in other areas upon request.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly, available, and maintained.
- Liaise with project teams on site alterations and modernization works.
- Maintain accurate timesheets.
- Perform tasks in line with specific KPIs.
- Attend relevant training to keep skills up-to-date.
- Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- Work with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
- Follow instructions from the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager.
- Represent the company professionally and foster good relationships with colleagues.
- Ensure all costs are approved through proper channels.
