Job Title: Service Engineer
Area to be worked in: Cambridge/Bury St Edmunds, South East, England
We are looking for a Service Engineer to contribute to our Surgical Workplaces service team.
Getinge is a well-respected Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), saving lives through the manufacture and maintenance of medical devices and solutions. Our Service Team is responsible for routine servicing, testing, and repairing of equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference by utilizing your technical knowledge and skills to ensure the smooth operation of our machines in the field, representing the business, and building relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver the best possible service.
This is a field-based role requiring you to be a self-starter with experience managing your own workload. Although mostly working independently, you will be supported by regular contact with the Service Office, Service Managers, and our Technical Services Department, which has direct access to Getinge manufacturing sites and extensive technical expertise.
The successful candidate will have a background and relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. Comprehensive training on Getinge’s equipment will be provided by our dedicated in-house training team. Our Career Progression Pathway assesses development bi-annually against our Engineers’ competency-based banding structure, rewarding learning and growth.
