An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior IT Technician to join an in-house team based in Guildford, supporting approximately 50 users. This hands-on role involves a broad range of responsibilities including device deployment, Microsoft 365 administration, troubleshooting daily technical issues, and managing relationships with external suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Manager and have access to third-party support for escalated matters.
Tasks
- Location: Guildford, Hybrid working available
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (Fixed hybrid – Monday & Friday – WFH)

- The Role: An exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Technician to join an in-house team supporting around 50 users. Responsibilities include device deployment, Microsoft 365 management, troubleshooting, and liaising with external suppliers.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support in person and remotely.
- Set up and deploy laptops and devices.
- Manage Microsoft 365 environment, including user accounts and security.
- Support remote desktop issues related to hardware, software, and network.
- Maintain antivirus and endpoint security systems.
- Administer user permissions in Azure AD.
- Manage SharePoint sites and permissions.
- Coordinate with vendors on licensing, procurement, and support.
- Assist with IT projects and system upgrades.
- The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have at least 1 year’s experience in IT support or 2 years in an office role, with a relevant IT qualification.
- Possess strong communication skills, professionally handling inquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and eager to learn other IT systems.
- Adapt well to a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.
- Experience in legal or insurance sectors is desirable but not essential.
