Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a dedicated individual to manage our Roads Operations team.

The team leaders will ensure that roads across the authority are well-maintained, safe, and efficiently managed. Working closely with the Roads and Transportation Manager, you will oversee key projects, manage budgets, develop staff, and drive performance to deliver excellent service.

The Roads and Transportation team is responsible for delivering the Council's strategic targets related to Road Maintenance and Improvements, Active and Sustainable Travel, Flooding and Flood Risk Management, Structures, Street Lighting, and Road Safety.

You will be responsible for managing our multi-skilled road operations team, as well as overseeing Winter Maintenance and a significant resurfacing programme to improve road conditions.

Requirements

The successful candidate will hold an HND/Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications, with experience in managing road operations.
