A leading hotel is seeking a Sales Manager to spearhead sales and marketing initiatives at Holiday Inn Sunderland City Centre. Overall Objectives: You will lead the sales and marketing efforts at Holiday Inn Sunderland City Centre, developing and executing commercial strategies to drive revenue across rooms and food & beverage. You’ll build strong client relationships, enhance our presence in the local market, and ensure the hotel’s commercial goals are met.

Responsibilities & Duties:
People:
·Conduct show rounds and site visits, attend networking events, and represent the hotel at trade shows and local business forums.
·Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, including OTAs, travel agents, local businesses, and Sunderland BID partners.
·Liaise closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of group and VIP bookings.
·Communicate proactively with departments to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
·Act as the hotel’s commercial lead in management and revenue meetings.
·Support the design and execution of sales initiatives, including sales blitzes and client events.
Profit:
·Deliver against budgeted revenue goals across rooms and F&B.
·Execute telesales campaigns, email marketing, and proactive outreach to generate leads
·Cross-sell Holiday Inn Sunderland’s offerings and IHG Rewards Programme, as well as other IHG properties when appropriate.
·Convert leads into bookings through effective follow-up and personalised proposals.
·Support the completion of RFPs and account reviews to secure repeat business.
·Drive occupancy and revenue in key segments including corporate travel, group business, and events
·Use market intelligence to identify new business opportunities and create a healthy pipeline of leads.
