We excel in creating cutting-edge events, content programs, and online forums that showcase new market solutions, generating real business benefits. Our focus is on topical and business-critical issues driven by vendor and user community needs.

Currently, ROAR hosts exhibitions such as Call and Contact Centre, LegalEx, B2B Marketing Expo, ESS Expo, Water, Wastewater & Environment Management Expo, RWM, and Naidex, attracting thousands of attendees.

The company is experiencing rapid growth and plans to launch many new international events.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Event Sales Executive to join our Environment Team, specifically working on the Water, Wastewater & Environment Management Expo (WWEM).

Following the acquisition and merger of WWEM with our existing Water Resource Management Expo, we have created the largest dedicated water industry event in the UK. The show has already exceeded last year’s revenue in just five months, representing a high-growth opportunity.

This role is ideal for a results-driven individual who excels in relationship-building and proactive business development. Responsibilities include selling exhibition space, sponsorship, and speaking packages to clients in the water and environmental sectors, with a focus on proactive outreach and high-quality conversations.

Activities include telesales, attending domestic and international industry events, networking, and understanding the sector. Travel may be required based on campaign needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting - Identifying and pre-qualifying potential new customers and closing new business to meet growth targets.
  • Understanding customer needs to deliver suitable packages.
  • Developing product knowledge regarding all ROAR events.
  • Achieving activity targets, including CRM and telephone calls.
  • Forecasting sales accurately.
  • Negotiating and maximizing sales transactions.
  • Utilizing telephone, email, and face-to-face sales channels.
  • Monitoring the competitive landscape.
  • Maintaining CRM records and ensuring contract and floor plan accuracy.
  • Collaborating with marketing and operations.
  • Assisting with credit control as needed.
  • Representing the company professionally and providing high-quality customer service.
  • Building market knowledge through research and networking.

Requirements for Success:

  • Proven success in delivering sales targets.
  • Preferred knowledge of the trade show industry.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, judgment, and listening skills.
  • Creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • Basic computer skills in Excel and CRM (HubSpot).
