Our portfolio includes exhibitions such as Call and Contact Centre, LegalEx, B2B Marketing Expo, ESS Expo, Water, Wastewater & Environment Management Expo, RWM, and Naidex, attracting thousands of attendees. The company is rapidly expanding and plans to launch new international events.

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Event Sales Executive to join our Environment Team, focusing on the Water, Wastewater & Environment Management Expo (WWEM). Following its merger with our Water Resource Management Expo, WWEM has become the UK's largest dedicated water industry event, surpassing last year's revenue within the first five months.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented individual skilled in relationship-building and proactive business development. Responsibilities include selling exhibition space, sponsorship, and speaking packages to clients across water and environmental sectors, with a strong emphasis on new business generation through outreach and high-quality conversations.

The role involves telesales, attending industry events domestically and internationally, networking, and gaining sector insights. Travel is expected based on campaign needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospecting: Identifying and qualifying potential new clients and closing sales to meet growth targets.
  2. Understanding client needs to tailor packages accordingly.
  3. Developing product knowledge about all ROAR events.
  4. Achieving activity targets, including CRM and phone outreach.
  5. Forecasting sales accurately.
  6. Negotiating and maximizing sales transactions.
  7. Utilizing phone, email, and face-to-face sales channels.
  8. Monitoring the competitive landscape.
  9. Maintaining CRM records and contract documentation.
  10. Collaborating with marketing and operations to deliver packages.
  11. Assisting with credit control as needed.
  12. Representing the company professionally and delivering high customer service standards.
  13. Building market knowledge through research and industry engagement.

Requirements for Success:

  1. Proven success in meeting sales targets.
  2. Industry knowledge, especially of trade shows, preferred.
  3. Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  4. Self-motivated with strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  5. Effective verbal and written communication, judgment, and listening skills.
  6. Creativity and ability to think innovatively.
  7. Basic proficiency in Excel and CRM systems (HubSpot).

Salary: £30k to £33k depending on experience, plus 30% commission OTE.
