Job description

Shield is growing and expanding rapidly, and we are looking for a key addition to our team.

The role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Engineer with a passion for learning and quick progression to join our expanding Sales team in the UK. As a Solutions Engineer, reporting directly to the VP of EMEA & APAC, you will be responsible for new business development across target markets, focusing on expanding our customer base for Shield's Communications Compliance solutions.

Ideal candidates are target-driven, possess strong communication skills, and are comfortable building relationships from scratch to develop their network within our industry. We expect you to be a team player and a key brand ambassador for the company.

The opportunity:
  1. Help create and deliver remote and in-person presentations and product demonstrations.
  2. Respond to RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, custom documents, emails, and messages from customers, prospects, partners, and marketers.
  3. Manage prospects and customers through the product evaluation process via POCs and other solution validation exercises.
  4. Build relationships and establish technical credibility with key contacts within customer and prospect accounts, as well as with partners.
  5. Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, and other teams to communicate customer feedback and help craft messaging and product responses.
  6. Coordinate with Professional Services and Customer Support during the sales process to address customer requirements.
  7. Prepare for and participate in industry trade events and webinars.
Requirements:
Experience and skills:
  • At least five years' experience in a related, hands-on technical field.
  • Knowledge of messaging platforms, communication technologies, and underlying networking technologies.
  • Minimum of two years in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
  • Energetic, positive attitude with a proactive approach.
  • Proven ability to work independently and meet expectations without micromanagement.
