Account Manager

This role is an integral part of ensuring the success of our business. The main purpose of our Account Managers role is to secure new and repeat business from our current customer base as well as finding and building new lasting customer relationships.
As an Account Manager, to your designated accounts as well as prospective clients, you are KS Composites and therefore are responsible for all commercial activities associated to aiding the Project Team deliver projects to the expected customer scope requirements.
The role will involve an element of travel mainly nationally, but client dependent, may include international travel.
As an Account Manager you will work closely with key stakeholders across multifunctional disciplines, therefore your interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team is paramount to developing and retaining internal and external relationships, project understanding and successful project delivery.
Role responsibilities for an Account Manager:
Business Development
. Successfully build and maintain strong relationships with designated customer base.
· Deliver agreed business set targets.
· Promote KS capabilities to gain new and repeat business from current and prospective clients.
· Development of projects to maximize profits.
· Stay abreast of industry changes/developments and report back to Commercial & Managing Directors.
· Demonstrate the ability to understand and converse technically with customers.
· Identify key market sectors in which the business can engage in, to increase or widen market share.
· Complete or Renew NDA documents and accurately file them on the system.
· Work in line with KSC SPS.
Commercial Responsibilities
Establish project costings to customer enquiries using the provided PCS BoM document.
· Provide a detailed submission of quotations in written format using the business quotation template, and in response to customer enquiries within a timely manner.
· Identify and plot out an achievable high-level timeline for project delivery to customer requirements.
· Document all quotation assumptions.
· Document and record all meeting minutes prior to hand over to the Projects Team to ensure a seamless handover.
· Achieve Sales Targets set out by Commercial/Managing Director.
· Creation and Review of Contracts / Contract Renewals in line with KS Composites Business Terms.
· Ensure adherence to KS Composites SPS for Account Management at all times.
· Point of Contact for your customers.
· Assist the Projects Team and Operations with any contingency plans if required.
· Establish a working record of Project P&L from quotation submission.
· Remain abreast of project progress and status for customer conversion.
· Fully Complete CRM Enquiry log with all required information.
Processes
. Participate in the Delivery of the Sales Strategy.
· Record all incoming enquiries on the Customer Relations Management Log and Set up of the associated CRM folder
· Transfer of latest Data into the CRM folder
· Completion of Customer Set Up forms and ensure input on relevant systems via the sales support function
· Source either independently, or via sales support function, and record all external quotations received
· Customer Enquiry acknowledgement must be completed within set time period of receipt of enquiry and estimated quotation completion date communicated to the customer
· Update Quotation Status Tracker
· Complete Capacity Placeholder prior to PO handover
· Check and Distribute PO via KSC SPS process
· Complete Project Handover meetings
Key skills of an Account Manager:
§Demonstrable Commercial Success
§Experience managing a large client base
§Ability to multi-task and manage multiple enquiries concurrently
§A minimum of 10 years exposure within the composites industry
§At least 4 years hands on experience
§Ability to work well within an established team
§Proficient computer skills
Salary:£45,000K+ (Depending on experience)
Job Type:
Full-time, permanent
Monday – Friday 8am until 5pm
On-site – travel will be required
