Qualifications

Job Opportunity: Senior Hydrologist at Envireau Water

Envireau Water, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to join our team as we enter our next growth phase.

Available office locations: Stirling, Scotland; Melbourne, Derbyshire; Shrewsbury, Shropshire; and Aske, North Yorkshire.

Role Overview

Responsibilities
  • Develop hydrological assessments including flood risk, water resource, and drought risk evaluations.
  • Conduct hydrological modelling and analysis to support site models and risk assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and regulators.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on project management and technical guidance.
  • Mentor junior staff members, providing technical guidance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Postgraduate degree in Catchment Management, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Geography, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of practical and technical experience.
  • Experience with hydrological calculations using ReFH2 and WINFAP.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, and HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with Grapher, GIS, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of UK planning regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong team and project management skills.
  • Valid full UK driving license.

The Package
  • Salary range of £30,000 to £40,000, negotiable based on experience.
  • Permanent contract, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
