My client is a very well established environmental consultancy with 80 - 90 specialist staff in Ecology, Arboriculture, GIS, and Climate Change. They have multiple hubs across the country and are open to Ecologists across the UK due to their extensive nationwide projects. They are seeking candidates at various levels from Consultant to Principal. As an Employee-Owned trust, employees have a stake in the business and receive an annual bonus. They offer excellent training, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, and opportunities to shadow surveys for experience.

Your new role

Your work will contribute to the success of a well-established consultancy. They are open to staff working from offices in Guildford, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, and Ipswich, on a hybrid basis. Main duties include:

• Manage a range of aquatic ecology projects
• Lead aquatic ecology surveys
• Prepare technical reports
• Mentor junior staff
• Coordinate field surveys and site work
• Maintain relationships with internal teams, external subcontractors, and suppliers

What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a relevant subject
• Proven experience as an Aquatic Ecologist
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving license
