Purpose & Scope:
- Responsible for overseeing financial activities and providing financial support for a designated area. The role involves ensuring financial integrity, monitoring performance, and offering insights to drive informed decision-making.
- The Business Controller is hands-on and acts as a trusted partner to business leaders, a focal point, and coordinates contact with other finance functions, ensuring the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and key business drivers.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement. Conduct variance analysis as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial reports and dashboards for business leaders, highlighting key performance metrics and trends. Ensure accurate reporting and filing of accounts and financial statements in accordance with the defined schedule.
- Cost Management: Work with business leaders to identify and manage cost drivers, improving cost efficiency and profitability.
- Cash Flow and Working Capital: Monitor and manage cash inflow/outflow daily for the area of responsibility, in cooperation with Treasury.
- Business Partner: Serve as a financial advisor to business leaders, offering guidance on financial planning, investment decisions, and resource allocation.

Job Requirements (Education and Experience):
- Desired: ACCA/ACA qualifications, Business degree.
- Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial finance is required.
